About this language family
A major branch of the Eastern Sudanic family within Nilo-Saharan, spoken across the Nile Valley, Great Lakes, and Rift Valley regions. Divided into three branches: Western (Luo, Dinka, Nuer), Eastern (Maasai, Turkana, Teso), and Southern (Kalenjin, Datooga).
