Also known as River-Lake Nilotes or Luo languages. Includes Dholuo, Acholi, Lango, Alur, Dinka, Nuer, and Shilluk. Historically associated with riverine and lacustrine environments along the Nile, Lake Victoria, and surrounding waterways.
