Origin story & oral tradition
The Isukha (Abaisukha) are closely related to the Idakho and trace a shared ancestral migration from the Mount Elgon region. Their founding ancestor Muisukha is believed to be a brother of Mwidakho of the Idakho. They settled in the Kakamega Forest belt, which historically formed a natural boundary between them and neighbouring sub-tribes. The Isukha are known for their honey production and deep knowledge of the Kakamega Forest.
