The world's largest language family by number of speakers, spanning Europe, the Iranian Plateau, and South Asia. Includes Germanic, Romance, Slavic, Indo-Aryan, and Iranian branches among others. Present in East Africa through British colonialism (English) and South Asian diaspora (Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Kutchi).
